ETEC Event: NOW Conference, July 30-31 - Registration Open

Join us for ETEC's 6th Annual Nuclear Opportunities Workshop at the Hilton Knoxville Airport. Register May 1-May 31 to receive a $100 Discount. The cost for registration is $600 for a regular attendee. Students, interns, postdocs, confirmed speakers, and sponsor representatives are complimentary but must register to attend. A few supporter opportunities are still available.

 

Nuclear Energy Discovery Day - Sat. May 11, 12-3pm @ AMSE

Join Kairos Power, Ultra Safe Nuclear, Type One Energy, ORNL, TVA, UT Knoxville, ORISE, Y-12's ORETTC, AMSE, and ETEC for Nuclear Energy Discovery Day! Focused on educating families and our community this day offers a collection of hands-on activities for kids of all ages and professionals in the nuclear workforce.

Guests will be provided with a "passport" as they enter the museum and will be encouraged to explore the museum and a host of booths sharing, teaching, highlighting and engaging the new world of nuclear technology, and will trade a completed passport for a prize. There will be talks by Dr. Edward Blanchard, CTO and Co-founder of Kairos Power; and, Dr. Kurt Terrani, Executive Vice President, Core Group at Ultra Safe Nuclear. This event is organized by the AMSE Foundation and will be held at the American Museum of Science & Energy. There is a cost to attend, but AMSE Members can attend for free. ETEC welcome Express Employment Professionals as a new member.

Express Employment Professionals is a full-service staffing service with 865 offices across the county that provides staff augmentation to governmental entities, subcontractors, and local businesses. They offer administrative, craft trades, and light industrial staffing on a temporary, contract, evaluation hire, or direct hire basis. If you need part time help for 10-20 hours a week and want to impact the next generation of leaders in our community check out the Internships in Industry (I-3) program. Through I-3, participating companies are connected with students from Oak Ridge, Anderson County, Clinton High Schools, AND Roane State Community College, with businesses and manufacturers in short, easy-to-manage internships.
