The regularly scheduled ETEC Board of Directors meeting for Friday, January 23 will
not take place due to this week’s distinguished speakers. The Featured Friday
with the ETEC Board will resume in February.

 

The 2026 ETEC Board photo will still be taken immediately
following the meeting at the front of the room.

Did You Know?

 

The Internships in Industry (I-3) Initiative is a partnership led by ETEC, in collaboration with the Anderson County and Oak Ridge Chambers of Commerce, connecting classrooms to real-world experience through school supervised internships.

 

Oak Ridge High School has an immediate to place three students in office-based internships. These students have an interest in business and taken classes in the Business Academy including Accounting, Intro to Business and Marketing, Marketing and Management, and Virtual Enterprise International (where the students run a virtual business). They are interested in business careers and can support data entry, filing, administrative tasks, and other projects through the end of the school year in May.  ETEC's Winter Weather Policy (Just as an FYI)

  • ETEC prioritizes the safety of our meeting attendees during winter weather conditions.
  • If inclement weather is expected on a Friday morning, and we decide to move to an all-virtual Zoom format or cancel, we will notify members by 5:00 p.m. the evening before.
  • Newsletter subscribers will receive an email, and notices will be posted on the ETEC homepage and the calendar event page. We encourage all attendees to check for updates and use the Zoom registration link to join virtually if necessary.
  • If you do not receive an email and there are no notices on the website, we will proceed with the in-person (hybrid) meeting as planned, but we advise everyone to use their judgment based on road conditions in their areas.
