Seeks Placement for ORHS Business Academy Student
|
I-3 is an initiative led by ETEC, Anderson County Chamber of Commerce, and the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with schools, students, and companies to bridge the gap between the classroom and experience through work-based learning internships.
An Oak Ridge High School Business Academy student is looking for a placement this semester at a local company. The student is available weekday afternoons and has taken multiple Business Academy courses including accounting. She is interested in pursuing a degree in accounting but the placement can be any office-related job.

Kyoto Fusioneering America
Kyoto Fusioneering America is the U.S. subsidiary of Kyoto Fusioneering (KF), which builds the systems every commercial fusion power plant will need to operate: gyrotron plasma heating, the deuterium-tritium fuel cycle, and breeding blankets. Founded in 2019 as a spin-out from Kyoto University, KF develops the critical balance-of-plant technologies the entire fusion industry depends on regardless of which plasma confinement approach ultimately leads. KF's flagship initiative is the UNITY™ Program, a staged roadmap to validate the technologies commercial fusion plants require. UNITY-3, announced earlier this year in partnership with ORNL, will be located in East Tennessee and developed as a world-leading breeding blanket test facility capable of testing blanket concepts under prototypic fusion nuclear conditions addressing gaps identified in the DOE's Fusion Science & Technology Roadmap.
