Tennessee Nuclear Supply Chain Opportunities Forum 
October 14 | Nashville or Virtual 

Join us for the Nuclear Supply Chain Opportunities Forum, an initiative of the TN² Advocacy, Policy & Regulatory Affairs Committee hosted in partnership with the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the UT Center for Industrial Services in Nashville or virtually on Wednesday, October 14, at 10:00 a.m. CT / 11:00 a.m. ET.

The free forum will connect Tennessee manufacturers and suppliers with information, resources, and opportunities to participate in the state’s growing nuclear supply chain. Speakers include Josh Brown, Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry; Paul Jennings, UT Center for Industrial Services; Braden Stover, Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development; and Bill Tindal, Tennessee Nuclear Network (TN²).

Nuclear Science Week: New Nuclear Dirt Tour II 

October 22 | AMSE in Oak Ridge 

ETEC/TN² will present the New Nuclear Dirt Tour on Thursday, October 22, ~8:00am-3:30pm, organized and hosted by the AMSE and the Atomic History Center at K-25. Board a bus for a firsthand look at the companies, projects, and sites shaping the new nuclear industry across the Oak Ridge Corridor. 

Company representatives will join the tour along the way to share more about their work, goals, and what’s ahead. The tour will begin and end at the American Museum of Science and Energy, with lunch provided. Cost is $25. Seating is limited. RSVPs are required. Click here for details and to register

 

ETEC Pre-Game Power Up

November 7 | Zeanah Engineering Building, UT-Knoxville

Registration is Open for Attendees!

ETEC and the University of Tennessee Department of Nuclear Engineering are teaming up again for the 3rd annual Pre-Game Power Up Tailgate! Save the afternoon of Saturday, November 7, 3 hours before the Tennessee Volunteers take on the Kentucky Wildcats at Neyland Stadium for this fun event.

Join ETEC members, guests, and UT nuclear engineering graduate students at the Zeanah Engineering Building for food, networking, and a showcase of student research before the game. ETEC Annual Meeting & Awards Celebration

TN² Updates & Opportunities

Engage: 

- Oak Ridge High School’s new nuclear and clean energy class is seeking industry support through guest speakers, tours, mentorships, and internships. Contact Kathy Foust.

 

- Tennessee STEM Innovation Network (TSIN) K-2 Nuclear Energy Classroom Visits is  seeking industry volunteers in Oak Ridge and Memphis. Contact Stephanie Zeiger.

 

- Roane State Community College needs adjunct professors to administer labs for the Nuclear Technician Program. Just a few hours a week time commitment. Good for your company to meet and educate the future nuclear workforce. Contact Joe Stainback. 

 

Workforce - Ways to Help: 
The K-12 Workforce Subcommittee is gathering an inventory of nuclear education and outreach for students in kindergarten through 12th grade across Tennessee. If your organization offers classroom programs, field trips, STEM activities, internships, mentorships, or other K-12 nuclear education and career outreach, please share your work. The information will help identify existing resources, gaps, and opportunities for collaboration across the state.
