Stowers Machinery Corp. is the Caterpillar distributor for the eastern 38 counties of Tennessee. Founded in 1960 by Bud, Dick and Harry Stowers, the company employs 407 people in six locations (East Knoxville, West Knoxville, Chattanooga, Kingsport, Crossville and Sevierville). Stowers Machinery sells, rents and provides parts and service support for Caterpillar’s entire line of equipment and electric power generation products, along with other complementary products from other manufacturers.
