The Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation is the chief environmental and natural resource regulatory agency in TN that oversees sources of air pollution, radiological health issues, solid and hazardous waste, underground storage tanks, water and groundwater pollution and water supply. TDEC is a complex department with multiple environmental regulatory responsibilities and also manages all TN State Parks and Natural Areas.
