RMS: 2024 Community STEAM Night

RMS: 2024 Community STEAM Night

Thursday, May 2, 2024 (5:30 PM - 7:30 PM) (EDT)

Description

The Oak Ridge School District is committed to excellence in education. As a part of that commitment, Robertsville Middle School has always recognized the importance of making STEM available to its entire community. Each year, Robertsville Middle School hosts a family STEM Night where families, community members, and stakeholders can participate in various hands-on STEM activities at booths and during mini sessions. This completely FREE event will be held on Thursday, May 2nd from 5:30pm-7:30pm in Bond Park at RMS.

We are also very excited to make STEAM Night more than a night to introduce families to STEAM activities at Robertsville Middle School. This year, we are giving back to the community by collecting canned food items for Second Harvest Food Bank. Anyone who donates canned food items will receive three extra raffle tickets. Giving back to the community is the main goal of this event, and we are so glad that you are a part of this opportunity!

Some of the booths that students can explore and engage in hands-on activities include the National Park Service, NASA with RamSat, University of Tennessee Entomology and Plant Pathology (bugs!!), Frozen Head State Park, and so much more!

This year, Southern Sips Drink Truck will be here with drinks for purchase, and RMS PTSA will have a Dunking Booth set up to raise money for PTSA. You can purchase tickets to the Dunking Booth for your chance to dunk a special guest!

Don't forget, we will have free food, drinks, and an awesome raffle!

We hope you can make it out to RMS on Thursday, May 2nd , 5:30-7:30 pm for a night of STEAM fun!
