TVA: Draft Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) Public Meeting
TVA: Draft Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) Public Meeting
Monday, November 4, 2024 (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM) (EST)
Description
The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is working with stakeholders and the public on the 2025 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP), a comprehensive plan that will shape TVA’s energy system through 2050. TVA is also preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to evaluate the impacts associated with the IRP.
TVA is excited to share the draft 2025 Integrated Resource Plan and accompanying draft Environmental Impact Statement.
TVA invites public engagement in the IRP process through multiple venues, including in-person public meetings, virtual meetings and public comment periods.
TVA has received input during quarterly TVA Board listening sessions, at RERC meetings and during informational IRP webinars.
We want to hear from residents and communities around the region. Your insights and opinions are vital as we plan how TVA will meet future power demand.
We are now entering the next phase of the process, with the 2025 draft IRP and EIS published on Sept. 23, 2024. We want the public to understand what’s in the documents and ask us questions, so we are holding two webinars and 10 in-person meetings across the region during the public comment period, which runs through Nov. 26, 2024.
TVA will host two webinars and 10 in-person meetings across the service territory beginning Oct 21 through Nov 22. The 10 in-person open houses will be held in the cities listed below (6:00 p.m. local time), and two virtual options will also be offered.
