Martin Williamson
Senior Director, Global Security & Strategic Partnerships Organization
Y-12 National Security Complex
Martin Williamson, Ph.D., is the senior director of Global Security and Strategic Partnerships for Consolidated Nuclear Security, the management and operating contractor for the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas, and the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
In this role, he serves as the technical and programmatic lead for all domestic and international nuclear security programs at both sites. He is responsible for ensuring the missions of his organization align with the National Nuclear Security Administration(NNSA) goals related to global security and stability, uranium and other material supply, and intelligence community and other government agency solutions.
Williamson has 20 years of experience with NNSA. During that time, he has supported a range of nuclear nonproliferation, nuclear verification, and nuclear security missions that has enabled him to become an expert in weaponization monitoring and verification.
He has served as a technical expert for multiple arms control efforts, including the International Partnership for Nuclear Disarmament Verification, the Quad Nuclear Verification Partnership (comprising the United States, the United Kingdom, Norway, and Sweden), and U.S. delegations supporting New START implementation and treaty extension negotiations.
Williamson is a registered professional engineer (nuclear) and received his Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from the University of Tennessee, with a research focus on multivariate optimization of organic scintillation-based neutron detectors. He also holds an M.S. and B.S. in nuclear engineering from the University of Tennessee.

You will find us at the intersection of Rice Rd and Rider Rd, just off of S Rutgers Ave across from ORNL Corporate Headquarters.
